DataQuery demo | Main / Status Screen

The first thing you'll want to do after installing is to check out the Status Screen, which will appear on the DataQuery.DataQuery page of your wiki. If the recipe is installed correctly, this page will either show you all the queries it's aware of, or it will say that no databases are specified.

By default, the program creates a query for each table in each database, except for the ones listed in the 'offlimits' configuration variable. You can configure one of these queries by clicking the "Configure" link beside it, or click the "List" link to list all the records that match the query.

To add a new query, simply create a new page in the DataQuery group, giving it the name you want the query to have. You will be presented with a template to help you configure the query.

The status screen also provides a link to Specify the Queries to Use, and another to the Error Log.

To keep this screen (and all the configuration screens, and the Error Log) away from prying eyes, simply password-protect the DataQuery group.
